Real World Cast Member 4 Congress? Somebody Help!
Recently (today) I was reading another political article and I happened to notice that one of the 7 orginal cast members of the Real World on MTV is running for a Congressional seat representing Brooklyn. Remember the angry young man Kevin Powell? The guy who ignorantly stated that Black Americans can't be racist? Yep, the same one indeed. I sure hope that Mr. Powell has changed his opinion on who owns racism and who doesn't. I actually remember that particular episode and the thought of it still burns me up. Mr. Powell has been a contributing editor as well as commentator on various other programs in the following years and I have often wondered if anyone has called him out on the carpet for his 'Real World' statements. Also mentioned in the article was Mr. Powells' experience and guess what....'I have been a community organizer for 24 years'. Well now isn't that just the kind of qualifications I would proudly present to the voters. Wait a minute....that is also a qualification that Barack Hussein Obama uses, that and his paper thin resume with the continuing theme of 'Change'. Mr. Powell should be rather cautious to use community organizing as a qualification for political office, even if Mr. Obama is inclined to initiate the same. The Real World was, when it started, the most original TV show out there and Mr. Powell was able to be a part of the inaugural series. If Mr. Powell is truly serious about his candidacy run for congress, he should be banking on original ideas and qualifications.
